Privacy & terms

unimall is a cross-brand shopping app. You can browse without an account. If you create one — or use try-on, membership, or checkout — we store the data described below to provide those features. We collect as little as we can and we do not sell your personal data.

What we collect

Without an account: your cart, wishlist, and basic usage events are kept in your browser and as anonymous activity tied to a random id (no name or email).

With an account: your email and a one-way hash of your password (we never store the password itself), or your Google/Apple sign-in identifier; your saved addresses; your sizes and style preferences; your closet (fits, suitcases, wishlist); membership status; and, if you subscribe, billing records from our payment processor. We also keep product interaction events to run the catalog and measure what works.

Try-on photos (biometric-adjacent data)

Virtual try-on renders a garment onto a photo of you. This is opt-in, adults-only, and shown with a clear notice before you upload. When you try on:

• Your photo is sent once to our try-on rendering partner (FASHN, via fal.ai) to generate the image, and is not stored, logged, or sold by us — it exists only for the moment of that single render.
• The result (a watermarked image of you in the garment) is kept for up to 24 hours so you can revisit and download it, then automatically deleted.
• We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your photo or any body data derived from it, and we do not use it to train models.
• Deleting your account removes your saved renders immediately.

If you are an Illinois resident, this section together with your in-app consent is our written notice and release under BIPA; our retention and destruction schedule is stated above (single-use processing of the photo; ≤24h for the rendered result).

How we use your data

To provide the app and the features you ask for (your account, closet, try-on, membership, and checkout hand-off); to keep the service secure and prevent abuse; and to understand and improve the catalog. Where the law requires a lawful basis, we rely on your consent (try-on, optional tracking), on performing our contract with you (account, membership), and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the service.

Who we share it with

We use a small set of processors that handle data on our behalf under contract: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and content delivery), Stripe (payments — your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them), and FASHN / fal.ai (try-on rendering, as described above). When you hand off to a brand to buy, that brand and its affiliate network may set their own cookies to attribute the sale, and that brand's own privacy policy then governs your purchase. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Cookies & tracking

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and we record product/usage events to operate and improve the catalog. You can manage optional tracking and review what we hold in your account privacy settings. Affiliate networks set their own cookies on hand-off — see our affiliate disclosure.

Your rights (CCPA / GDPR)

You can access and export a copy of your data, and you can delete your account and its associated personal data, from your account privacy settings. Deletion removes your profile, addresses, sizes, closet, and saved try-on renders; we keep only the minimal billing records the law requires us to retain. EU/UK and California residents have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, and to object to or restrict certain processing); contact us and we'll honor any request within the required window. We do not sell personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of selling.

Data retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted when you delete it. Try-on photos are processed once and not retained; rendered results are deleted within ~24 hours. Expired sign-in links and abandoned sign-in sessions are purged on a schedule. Billing records are kept only as long as tax/accounting law requires.

Affiliate relationships

unimall has financial relationships with the brands and affiliate networks linked across the site (e.g. Sovrn/Skimlinks, AWIN, Rakuten, CJ, Impact). When you click through to a brand and buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See our full affiliate disclosure.

Accuracy

Prices and availability sync from brand feeds and may change; the brand's checkout is the authoritative source. We don't use false scarcity or advertise deals that aren't real.
